Note
Tolkien "Beowulf: The monsters and the critics".

Note
"Beowulf: The Monsters and the Critics" è stata una lezione tenuta dal prof. J.R.R. The Monsters and the Critics and Other Essays.

Il libro presenta, oltre al saggio di Tolkien, moltissimi riferimenti all'autore di The Hobbit e The Lord of the Rings

In Notes on the Editor and Authors si legge:
J.R.R. Tolkien, Merton Professor Emeritusof English Language and Literature in the University of Oxford, has edited Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. He is currently at work on a sequel to his trilogy, The Lord of the Rings.
